sorry for not posting yesterday. was too tired

oh, and i missed the czech vs denmark match, couldn't wake up. haha but i caught the replay tho. 3-0 victory to czech who i think deserved it coz they're gonna win euro2004 with their superior skills. whee.

oh, the chinese listening comprehension o'level exam is this saturday, and my o'level chinese oral is next thursday. please rememeber this potato here, and everyone else taking the exam, in your prayers, coz i can neither listen or speak the language properly. okay lar, maybe a bit, but i think my command of the language is rather inadequate.

oh, we took a peek into binary and hexadecimal system during physics today too, and i found it pretty cool. coz i wanna get some cool stuff which involves these subjects. why, you may ask, well, visit http://www.thinkgeek.com - "shirts" for details. ima geek and proud of it. well... maybe a little geek? not totally uber, but i guess thats enough. =)

okay, i guess that's about it, gotta get to studying more. which is sadly not easy for me. when i mean not easy, i really mean not easy. [short attention span] which is why my blog enteries aren't very long =).

[holland vs sweden]
0-0
5-4 penalties

yay. what i wanted, but unexpected, i mean.. if a team loses the last 4 euro cup penalties, what would you expect? but they won, unexpectedly, once again. i love euro2004. so exciting!~ -.-"

well, i joined the church people for badminton for a short while, coz the court was booked @ 4-5pm, which i unfortunately could not make due to @#$Z#&$>?%#*#($" tuition. well.. so we had no court, and played at the side of the courts. and for the first time, someone complained to us, saying that we were distracting. countless number of times we have i have done that, be it school whatever, but no one complained. i guess there are some people who just can't play badminton for nuts and require so much concentration... but the thing is, if the person could not concentrate with us behind? how could he with other players in the court just next to them? stoopid people nowadays.

just finished my english holiday homework compo and half of the journal. i guess i had enough typing/writing for the night. haha.. only geog and 1/2 a journal left! and school is tomorrow. sigh. i love my time management.

NOTICE
(only applies for christian assembly people)
oh yea, matt is leaving next monday for australia if u guys don't know. and luckily, its youth day on sunday, the 4th of july, independance day too, but thats not the point. okay, so monay (5/7) is a holiday for sec school people. and so we should be sending him off. *sob* *sob* i mini-golf buddy gone... and we're gonna go do some stuff after that, like watch a movie to celebrate matts departure. heh ;) keep the day free, and more details to come when the time gets nearer.

France vs Greece.
0-1

totally unexpected, but the header into the the goal was really.... beautiful.
the match was also unexpectedly boring, with the ball just going back and forth in the pitch and both teams firing total blanks. the Bartez was quite on form yesterday too. made some good saves. after greece scored, the french frantically tried to fight for a equalizer, but to no avail. very boring match i must say.

went tacting later in the day, around 3 plus. it was basically... just walking around other peoples houses and slotting in evangelical tracts. got freaked by a dog too, but thats beside the point.

household fellowship. came earlier, played NFS:underground again. sigh. i don't think i should take up driving looking @ how reckless i am at the moment. but who travels at 200 km/h against traffic? decision reconsidered.

got a bite of a really juicy story too... but i shall spare the parties involed in the the juicy, very juicy rumour and not say publish it on my blog. interested parties please contact me. =)

okay... that's about it for the day. don't forget the sweden vs holland match tonight! sweden expected to win, but looking at the recent patterns that seem to be showing in the last two matching, one can not jump to conclusions. have fun~

i finally watched my first euro 2004 match.
lasted from 2.30-5.30am... supporting soccer is awfully tiring... =/

now in greater detail. the match was below average. nice to watch people screw up and its also pretty amusing to see the unexpected turnovers in the match, with people scoring goals like 7 mins from the end, and hence forcing the game in to extra time and finally penalties.
oh yea, not to mention, i think beckham is overrated... he actually stinks. x) i mean... he rocks @ free kicks!~
okay, so aside from the whole weird match last night, i realised that 22 men chasing a little rubber ball isn't such a bad spectator sport.

[ final score england 2:portugal 2, penalties --> england 5:portugal 6]

den i went to chemistry rememdial, met by the stoned faces of all those who had caught the euro bug. almost everyone looked the same. face-long-long, ai kun(want to sleep in hokkien). but for the first time i was one of them
oh... what was chem Yeo saying? @_@

fell asleep the whole afternoon, and woke up during dinner time. my biological clock as the best timing around. only wakes @ mealtimes. haha

should i watch tonights match? france vs greece? expect greece to lose. duhz.

Thursday, June 24, 2004

well, i stayed at home today, played computer, ate, slept, and studied. whats else is new. today was rather sedate to be honest, so i don't really think i should bore anyone with such a boring day. updates tomorrow.

only thing is to remember the portugal vs england match coming up at 2.35am on channel five, which is a good thing coz i don't have cable tv. well, if only they could have telecasted it earlier. but i guess the quarter finals onwards isn't that bad... i mean, i'm not like a rabid fan of soccer anyway. =)

Wednesday, June 23, 2004

okay... in a short period of time since my last post, i've found something so talk about... not to mention, its pretty funny.

well... my family was eating garlic bread which a neighbour gave us... well.. not me, but the other members of my family(i unfortunately was at tuition).
and as most people should know, my family consists of 6 people, forming a rather lean mean food strike force, so we had insufficient bread to go around(makes me seem rather poor right? so next time don't borrow money from me okay?)

okay, so my sister asked my maid to crush more garlic, mix it with butter, and spread it onto some bread before toasting it. the funny thing is that somehow, due to her less than average command of the english language, well... to be honest... it totally stinks, she somehow mishead what was said.
now for the fun part... heh... about more than half an hour later, she hadn't finished. sensing something was amiss, my mom and sister went to the kitchen to check the situation. and surely enough, something was definitely amiss.... .... ...

we had crushed bread on spread on garlic.

i mean... i guess she got the crush and the garlic part right? though in the wrong order... well... even though it didn't make a good meal, at least it provided a good laugh. ah... a nice light moment of the day ya?

ahh... 3 hours of tuition. well... 2h50mins to be exact. thats enough studying for the day? nah... probably not, but who cares. ;)

ate beancurds for lunch, beancurds for tea, and beancurds for dinner. wow. one of the few times healthy eating has been so easy for me... but maybe the beancurds taste nice. heh.

can't really think of much to say today, maybe my mind is just too preoccupied. sorry guys. will update again tonight or tomorrow, when i can think of something.

anyway. now there's this pretty cool game going on, so step off fairyland buddies, its RiskYourLife time... well... not a very enticing name, but its pretty good. the site's @ http://www.ryl.com.my ... yes its a malaysian game. but better control ba. o's coming... must limit myself, keep on studying! =)

Tuesday, June 22, 2004

whee =)

happy dead man dumpling dragon day. erh... bah zhang day?

well... as the story goes, this guy dies in a river and the people throw dragon boats into the river to scare the scary ghost of the dead man from eating the precious dumplings that settled on the riverbed after they got accidentally dumped (hence the name dumplings).. well.. the story as told my daniel chia. heh. thats what you get from someone who doesn't know his roots any further than them being ginseng. =)

lotsa fun today. to say the least. fast cars, sleek bball moves, showers of blood and gore, totally rad chunks wood, oh.. and a jolly green giant. i mean how much better can it be? ^^ rock on.

well, what i've learnt is that nba live 2004 gives you a self-esteem boost, NFS:underground with cheats makes dreams come true, and Unreal tournament 2004 gives you a one way ticket to pure ecstasy. lets face it. everything in this world is better than it seems. but its been like months since the last time solid gaming was in fashion in my life... and... i hate to admit it... it feelss..... goooooood.

oh yea, not to mention the food was pretty good too, tho it was outshown by the fun.

erhem. den it had to be spoilt by some guy who thought the bus belonged to his grandfather. i mean... he didn't even let me watch gurmit's small talk finish! he just read newspaper, with the papers held up high, blocking the screen. not to mention, the newspaper was in arabic... or was is hindu... nah... can't be, thats a religion right? oh yea... tamil. so i couldn't even understand a word of it. dang. if people had a bit more courtesy around here... ah. but who am i to judge others when i have a bridge in my own eye? i think...

...then i reached home, drawing a close to yet another epic saga. yeah right. nitez

hello cutie.

over the hills and far away, tellytubbies come to play....
erh hem. the fanficiton some people write is plain sick. sick i tell you. i mean who writes about tellytubbies. =/ weird. erhz.... purple sparkly cow? (thx to caleb and jason)

oh, 4 hours of chem today... eh... or was it mini-golf. ;) i've gotta admit, mini-golf is much definitely more exciting than the constant quacking of the chem teacher. i mean... just listen to her... its bad. real bad.

okay, tonight i'm going to ching han's and faiths house to give a farewell for matthew, who is going back to melbourne. looking forward to it. (not matthew going back to melbourne, but the party tonight... how can i be happy about matt going back... losing a mini-golfing buddy. argh! the pain... the agony... can't stand it.)

that's about it for the day.

Monday, June 21, 2004

4 hours of chem.

been to hell and back, the baptism of fire, test of mettle. ah well.. what a load of melodrama... wasn't that bad i guess... quite fruitless nonetheless... too easy ;) gimme a 4hour load of computer a day anytime =D.

bah... don't really have much to say today, although something really kewl happened today. so i shall not delay and get straight to the point.

YETI SPORTS PART FIVE IS OUT: FLAMINGO DRIVE!

should have been pretty recent, unless i've been totally outta touch.

whoopee~. erm... yea.

i found my specs. thanks be to God. i finally lost my specs for the first time, despite not wearing it all the time, and always keeping it in my hand. well.. i dropped it. lets say i was freaked for a moment, so i just prayed in my tuition centre, maybe because i couldn't do much. very blur mah... screen cannot see.^^ but i did pray, and for the first time, i didn't ask God to allow me to find it... weird. i just asked for it IF its his will... and maybe it was. =)

kinda asked everyone who was @ the bball court (where i previously was hanging out @), and it was seemingly not to be found. so i asked dan ng help me find... apologies for all the trouble. but he lives there, so that was the best bet... heh ( BAI LIU LI BAI, HUI BU BUI KAI!!!) omigosh.. can't believe i just said that. >.< well.. .eventually it was found @ the control station @ the mrt. so i got it back... unfortunately... i thought for once i could change specs... mine are ugly. heh. ah fine... whatever. thanks be to God.

and i so ends another exciting chapter in my life. wow. how exciting can my life be anyway...

Oh~ one more thing. i just managed to watch shrek... and i repeat, i DO NOT BELIEVE IN FATE. =) against all odds, i managed to get a working copy. heh... but to be honest... 2 cinemas no timing, 1 cinema read wrong timing, 1 cinema got chased out of, and 2 copies of shrek off the net isn't how much i would give for a show of that calibre. but at least i got it. ^^ buh byez for now...

Saturday, June 19, 2004

aye.

well, for the first time in a while i got down to serious studying... guess it isn't really that hard.. ^^

oh yea, i'm downloading shrek 2 off the net coz i guess i'm not fated to watch it in the movies... yea, 3 cinemas in singapore, 1 in malaysia. 2 no timings, 1 read wrong time, 1 kena pulled out of it... guess it must be fate... and the last 2 times i downloaded it, it couldn't work. what the... is shrek evil?

shrek2, shrek2... kill kill kill.... kill........

erm... okaaayyy. don't sound right. the jolly green giant from hell. well.. come on... its rated (G) right? all audiences... bah... screwed. haha

tomorrow go church again.... hope its not becoming a routine, but i guess i do look forward to going to church every week... its like entering a sanctuary after such a long week of crap.... oh... i hope my download is done by tmmr... and in working condition... i support piracy. =) so sue me. eh... they're already doing that to people... so don't sue me... i take it back.^^

¡Yo Quiero Taco Bell!

ah. i have no idea why i just said that. maybe the holidays are catching up on me. nothing to do, brain-rot, i'm lovin' it tho. a lot better den going to school and brain-rot. heh.

er... i just remembered. anyone do holiday homework liaoz? i never even do download yet lehx... omigosh. =) but since when did i do homework? anywayz, i just woke up, nothing really much in my head, nothing to say. x). erhz.

aiya. nothing to say lar. update later. now go eat breakfast.

Friday, June 18, 2004

just wanted to share something... some of you may have seen snippets of the whole thing on my msn nick, but i guess u gotta see the whole thing to understand. faith is not something that can me seen or heard or just understood. it must be experienced...

That's What Faith Must Be

Galatians 3 & Romans 3:22

Chorus
To hear with my heart
To see with my soul
To be guided by a hand I cannot hold
To trust in a way that I cannot see
That's what faith must be

When the universe fell from His fingertips
He decided He wanted some fellowship
But the man and the woman would not submit
So He made a better way
When the moment was right He sent His own Son
And He opened the way so that everyone
Could have hope and believe that when time was done
He'd be able to make us one

Chorus

Now I understand that there is a key
It's Jesus in me, a reality
That God is in Christ and that Christ's in me
That with faith I see what is unseen

Chorus
That's what faith must be

- Michael Card

go search for the music... i can't really find my cd... heh... can't upload anything yet... =) sorry hor. "michael card - that's what faith must be"

ciaoz.

ouch

tio burn. not basketball ya. sunburn. ah well.. a tan can't be that bad. =) and i just realised that school volleyball training is crap in learning how 2 play. haha. lyk no use liddat. but i guess that's pretty normal. school doesnt teach anything useful anyway. =)

beach was fun, to say the least. dunking was especially fun. everyone, well... almost everyone got dunked.i got dunk protection coz no one can successfully, but eventually i just went next to the water to assist. ;) must not be spoiler right? ahaha. hope everyone who kena dunked by me doesnt kill me. i mean... i didn't mean to right? it was just irresistable... so shoot me.

i finally watched passion of the christ @ my frenz house. let say.... it was totally... sick. sick sick sick sick. i had to use a bolster to cover my face 1/2 the time. i'd bet if i were is Jesus' shoes i would just die @ the capturing part lor... ouch. oh wait... did he wear shoes? eh... sandals... apologies. sick sick sick... i don't really look forward to becoming 18 for those movies anymore.=/ too sick for me... i don't think i could even stand is if i were 21 lor... sigh. i'm a wuss. had trouble sleeping last night because of the show lor.... thank goodness i had "whose line is it anyway" to accompany me til late @ night. haha.

yea i guess that's about it. this post is actually for yesterday coz i didn't have the time to post. today hasn't really gone its course, so i guess i'll update for today tonight, or the day after. for those who want to watch passion, get a blanket. bolsters are too small.

aiya... panda liaoz... moisturizer!

Wednesday, June 16, 2004

we'll... i got the password from my bro.
i'm unstoppable! *Grinz* but who says i'm gonna play.

today i've got to go find present again... so many birthdays in 2 about 2 plus months.. can't stand it. no money liaoz. so if anyone wants to donate money, kinda adress is to me. =)

still showing signs of being sick... but its getting quite much better, so i think i'm pretty fit to do anything... but come to think of it, i never even stopped during the time i was sick. hmm. strange.

i'm reaching a point where i totally don't feel like studying... like just drawing, playing computer and sleeping the whole day... i duunno... if only there was a teensy weensy bit of incentive in studying... bah.. what more is there to say, education in singapore sucks. learn so much, come out to the work force, totally have no use for what you learn... so far i think the most useful subjects i've seen is design and tech, art, and principles of accounts. and i'm not taking any. i feel useless. haha

yea. better be off now... got presents to buy. ciaoz

Monday, June 14, 2004

my mom passworded my computer coz i played NFS:underground for an hour.
my laptop gets locked up regularly.

i really think parents nowadays are screwed up.
making their children mug away just to achieved something they themselves couldn't do, and wanting a better life for themselves in the future. i don't know... this is probably just a temporal sentiment, but i guess many a times its quite true.
how can a person just keep studying. not to mention the fact that i'm still sick.
ah whatever... you can choose your friends, but not your family, so i guess i'm kinda stuck with the brady bunch. ah well...

well. i guess there are some brighter bits of the day... i ask kinda touched when we didn't bring shuttlecocks during badminton today and so we asked this guy, who gave us lyk 10 used shuttlecocks which were still in working condition and 3 brand new ones. and we acutally wanted 2 buy them from him... ended up being F.O.C., so i guess that was pretty cool.

nothing really much... better get off the com before my time is up. byez.

Saturday, June 12, 2004

back from camp.

tired, hot, cold, and hacking. dang it... got sick in camp on the 2nd day, and spent the rest of the time pretty silent... still sick today. *sob* guess its just a test for me to listen more than i speak. argh. self-control is not an easy value to learn.

okay... i shall sum everything up...

[7/6]
came into camp one day early. entered jb, ate deep fried duck (that's new.)and jap food, went shopping, got new spray on hair wax ^^. ah whatever. nothing really happened. wanted to watch shrek2(something that i guess i'm not fated to watch), since all movie timings where crappy, we just kinda decided to watch a movie the next day.

[8/6]
all campers were to come in @ about 4? so we went out early in the morning, became superheros in the afternoon, and had out 48hours of fame. lets just put it as simple as possible, some people tried to get frame us. using us as a scapegoat. so we kinda ran when had the chance. exhilarating. then we went back into the cinema to watch shrek2, but were rudely interupted by a rescue party from the church who dragged us outta the cinema before we even got to the halfway point. the only thing is that the church people keep spreading the story that we bumped into gangsters and almost got hacked to death, and after the whole ordeal, we went back into the cinema to watch shrek. i wish people would get it right once in a while. sigh. who cares about the action. THEY DIDN'T LET US FINISH THE MOVIE!...

[9/6]
fell sick. whee. lost my normal voice and gained the ability to do the "luke, i am your father" darth vader thing. cool. the pain doesn't really help either. started liking the veggies in camp. 3/4 plate full of salad. yum. er.... nothing else really memoriable, besides the message. call me if you want me to preach to you. "God's ways are far too high and deep"* to be told across a blog.
ate a pretzel which a nice person gave me, and i didn't even ask for it. oh... and its sour cream and onion, my fave from aunt anne's. whee. made my day, so i decided to share the joy and gave about half away. heheh.

*overall message for the camp

[10/6]
still sick. ate more veggies, went shopping, got a the same shirt as 2 other frens, who have the same shorts, and we all looked gay together. how exciting~ how gh3y, but cool.
eh... sucking on strepsils lyk crazy, dun think they're helping tho...
had group prayer, was in dan ng, and 2 other older chinese people. and they had to pray in chinese, den dan prayed in chinese two, which left a potato to pray in english. and in a subsonic level too. sigh. feels out. sigh, shouldn't have thrown back all the chinese to the teachers after the chinese o's i might have found it useful. oh... and somebody kena injured too, after doing something lyk extreme sliding in the pool... well... strage things happen in camp... i guess thats another one... was suspected to be brain haemmorage, but turned out to be a minor fracture or something. and to thing somebody thought the camp doctor said something about bloddy gonorrhoea. slap u lar~. neva heard of someone get an STD from sliding. scary. don't you love the way people play broken telephone. thank goodness someone took the limelight of me. =)

[11/6]
ahh.... 19 strepsils and counting. cough status? bad. fever? worse. 4 panadols. ah... trials and tribulations bring you closer to God right? must be one of those times i guess... I still attended all messages and stayed awake. cool huh...
den went shopping.... i wonder why the shopping centres are so chilly nowadays, and why the air blowing around my head is always so hot... @_@ skipped dinner to sleep a while. den went for message with my handy dandy strepsils and panadol, and bottle of waters... guess it works.

[12/6]
ahha... last day of camp, fell asleep for the last message... didn't mean to, but i was too tired... wanted to head straight home to sleep, but ended up having to help to do grocery shopping. yucks. sian. went home, on com, type this blog post.

okay... i guess thats about it. if u wanna noe about the messages, just ask me hor.... i can tell u about anything except the last day... eheh. veri tired liaoz. ciaoz.

Sunday, June 06, 2004

hello dears.

the day of the Lord. a new beginning to a week. whee. looking @ things from a nice positive viewpoint. heh.
tmmr i'm going for church camp, something i have been waiting for for a pretty long time... i have no idea why tho, its just one of those things that you just look forward for every year. feels good. hope i come back a nice new person. i promise i'll try to change myself for the better during this camp. look forward to seeing a changed me, well.... hopefully. i love everyone~ =S feels odd tho.

kinda going there one day before everyone else, and dun ask me why. i got enuff of incessant questioning about why i'm going and what i can tell you is...
from the bottom of my heart, "cross my heart hope you die"©, that... i have no-eye-deer.

oh... kinda tried out fairyland too... and what can i say? i think runscape is cooler, though i haven't even played it before, those pieces of paper fighthing looksp pretty darn slick ;)

oh. and i discovered that you can't buy honey mustard pretzels from cold storage or NTUC. *sob* feel deprived of good food.

okay... i guess thats about it for the day, anything for the next week, i can't really do anything, just sms me, but u won't get any message back ya... yea, thats all folks.

hey people.

today was one of the first times i walked home from toa payoh at night.
honestly, one of the few things that i'm afraid of is the dark. no kiddin'. but i guess something possessed me today. possessed by God.

Festival of praise was today, and it was my first. it rocked, although rocked would be an understatement. lets just say it was enlightening. period.

dunnoz.... for one of the first times in my life, i kinda felt pretty peaceful, like something had been filled up. when the pastor @ the gig said something about a Jesus-shaped vacuum, i kinda realised what i was lacking. i guess i really haven't been giving everything, and just trusting Him. all these times of uncertainty, like during the exams, i felt i was kinda empty, like just using my own strength to get along, studying hard... well, now i know i guess. "zhi chuo neng gai" right?
all this while i just realised that i needed to trust more. trust someone who had been there all along.

"to hear with my heart,
and see with my soul,
to be guided by a hand i cannot hold,
to trust in a way that i cannot see,
that's what faith must be"
-michael card.

faith is what i have needed.
help me God to trust you... MORE.

Amen.

well. the o's are over.
since i didn't really update for so long, i might as well tell u people what i u all have missed out on.

[31/5]

i destroyed my barcode on the chinese paper 1. honestly, i think they should allow us to practice. =/ well... whats done cannot be undone, and i guess i'll just have to pray that they manage to find my script. the just asked me to hand in, with the crapped up sticker. ah well... no use crying over spoilt barcode ya....

then we watched "the day after tomorrow". or..."后天" as they say. not a veri good show to watch after the o's, but good show nonetheless.

[1/6]

stayed @ home, played computer whole day. what can i say?

[2/6]

went to my friend's house for a barbeque. cool. thanks again to the "the-fat-pat-sat-on-the-mat-man". finally got into the pool to swim after a real long time, ate, ate, ate... oh what fun!~ then we had a nice cake fight. waste of good cake... but pretty worth the fun.

and after looking at the bevy of beauties on miss universe and after some jolly wolly shandies, i went home and had a nice sleep. sadly, no nice dreams. no story to tell ;). miss australia and norway are hot. ehehheh.

oh. and not to forget... some pretty slick games were discovered that night.

http://www.xeron.org/cosas/bowman/bowmanf.html

and

http://yeti.e-medien.com/

[3/6]

went for our band concert.
saw CM's infatuation. hmmz, i decline to comment, coz i don't have anything to comment abt. not saying anything ah KH. =)
the whole gig was quite eye-opening(not the cute girls who were present,) but really nice music. sure there were mistakes, but its expected. kodos people... hmm or was it kudos. hmmmm.... kudo beasts? ah nvm. (those who never played warcraft, dun bother trying to find out what the joke is.

hey band members.... SQUEAK. i'm so mean.... sorry people. ;)

oh, and we saw the crazy woman who wanted to throw the holy slipper at us the other day. i managed to survive. i wonder what happened to pineapple-boy boyu... come on. what could we do... she took on 2,000 people in some stadium single-footedly. what can i say... freaky.

[4/6]
woke up, watched the telly, carebears is quite a nice show. =X anyone watch.... its soo... retro?

Went to play badminton again, nothing great, got a new blister on my thumb.... better season my grip asap.

gonna be gone on monday for church camp. another week without computer. shucks.

til tomorrow, bye.
CAREBEAR STARE!
